Tor Pingree – St Clement Ward
I have lived in Worcester all my life and attended local schools. I am a music teacher at Worcester Sixth Form College. I will bring a fresh perspective to local issues and help support people of all ages to get more involved in their community.
As a city, we need to reduce traffic congestion and the attendant noise and air pollution. We can do this by investing in better walking and cycling routes and improving public transport. Many St Clement residents have told me that they struggle to get to the hospital, as they no longer feel confident to drive and don’t have a reliable bus service.
With the rising price of fuel, we need to reduce household costs. We should install insulation in homes and ensure that new homes are built to the highest possible standards.
