Councillor Neil Laurenson: City councillor for St Stephen

Neil became the first Green Party councillor in Worcester when he was elected in 2012, and he was re-elected in 2016, 2021, and 2024. He helped the city council to introduce the Living Wage and convinced fellow councillors to support a climate emergency motion, which led to the city council’s sustainability strategy. He has consistently campaigned for more funding for council services.
As well as being a councillor, he works full-time for a large housing association based in the city centre. He enjoys running, writing, and making autism YouTube videos.
