Alex Mace: candidate for warndon & elbury park

I have lived in Worcester, for 17 years with Katie and our 2 children. I work as Chief Technology Officer for a small company making software for pubs and restaurants. As a city councillor I have stood up for my residents and particularly the most vulnerable in our city – opposing Labour cuts to Disabled Facility Grants, to disability benefits and holding Platform Housing to account.
My priorities for the Worcestershire County Council include improving public transport, increasing the amount of people choosing to walk and cycle to get around and improving biodiversity in the area. Our schools need school streets so that children can get to school safely. We need an expansion of 20 mph zones. We need to fix SEN school provision. As co-chair of the Worcester Canal Group, I take part in regular litter picks and plant trees to help improve the biodiversity of the canal corridor. If voters see fit to place their trust in me, I can take the good work I have done at the city council to county hall.
