tor pingree: candidate for riverside
My name is Tor, I’m 25 years old, and I’ve been an active member of Worcester Green Party for the past six years. Having lived in Worcester my entire life, I am proud to now serve as the city councillor for St Clement and teach music technology at Worcester Sixth Form College.
Since I got elected in 2023, Worcester Green Party has experienced incredible growth and it’s inspiring to see how far we’ve come since our first city councillor was elected in 2012. The transformation over the past decade is a testament to our collective efforts and I’m genuinely excited about what the future holds for our party and the city of Worcester.
However, there is still much to be done. Worcestershire County Council must take bolder steps to meet its climate targets, especially in transport, housing, recycling and climate resilience. I’m confident that with more Green voices in the room, we can drive this crucial change forward.
