Motorists across Worcester can park with confidence at any of the city council’s 14 car parks after each was awarded a Park Mark under the Safer Parking Scheme.
The Safer Parking Scheme is a national standard for UK car parks which have a low crime rate as well as measures in place to ensure the safety of both people and of vehicles. These measures include the car park being clean, tidy and well-lit, with good signage.
Councillor Karen Lewing, vice chair of the council’s Environment Committee, said: “We are delighted to see that all of our car parks have once again achieved the Park Mark and I’d like to thank everyone who plays a part in ensuring our car parks are safe places where visitors and residents can park with confidence before enjoying everything our wonderful city has to offer.”
